Iron Fist Gym in Maysville, Kentucky, offers classes related to Mixed Martial Arts, Mens and Womens’ Kickboxing, and Catch As Catch Can Wrestling (submission grappling) with coaches Brandon McCleese and Shaun Asher. Phil Clark’s Martial Arts Academy/Relson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu of Kentucky is the only Relson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu affiliate school in the state of Kentucky. Our students have the opportunity to attend seminars with Master Relson Gracie right here at our school. Our Adult Class is for the student ages 14 years and older. Head Instructor Phil Clark is a Blue Belt under Master Relson Gracie.

Although Master Relson Gracie’s techniques are deeply rooted in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, as taught to him by his father, Grandmaster Helio Gracie, his personal style has focused on “street effective” techniques. As such, he has developed a Jiu-Jitsu designed for defending yourself in a survival situation where there are no rules!

Bowling Green Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & Judo was founded in 2002 along with E-Town Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & Judo, which has quickly earned the reputation for being one of the premier Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) competition teams in the Southeastern United States. Our athletes have placed in local, regional, and national competitions of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Submission Grappling, and Mixed Martial Arts.

In addition, we have become a community source of instruction for recreational training, military personnel, law enforcement, women, kids, and adults. Brian Jones has been studying martial arts for over twenty years. He is a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Carlson Gracie Jr. and a black belt in Judo under Donald Leach. Brian has trained and continues to train with a number of outstanding instructors including Helio Soneca, Michael O’Donnell, and Aaron Little. In addition to BJJ and Judo, Brian has experience in many other martial arts including boxing, kickboxing, wrestling, Tae Kwon Do, and Kenpo.
