Our instructors are experienced and ranked in the arts that we teach. We are a competing school, Where competing is encouraged, some are not comfortable competing in a combative sport, So we give you options such as 5k runs, marathons, and other unique opportunities. Finally we have a desire to help the community whether it be helping a low income family to be able to participate in our programs, or organizing a community event to raise money for those in need. MMAathletix was opened in January 2010 by Ryan Cowette, Moriah Cowette and Rocky Ross. We have seen great success growing to 75 students in the first year alone. We continue to grow in strength and in numbers all while keeping the focus on becoming true martial artists, a Martial Artist that can be confident in their ability to adapt and overcome any obstacle in their way. Our General Adult Program is a combo of karate/kickboxing, jujitsu/grappling. Here, adults are challenged to take hold of a life-long endeavor full of fun, friendship and martial knowledge. This program covers striking, grappling and chanbara in great detail. The martial arts mean much more than just physical prowess, you learn respect, control, and how to work with fellow players.

Our MMA class meets 2 nights per week at 8:15pm: This teaches striking in a more mma oriented kickboxing/ muay thai style, lots of thai pad work is done, and clinching is involved as well. Grappling is all about takedowns and takedown defense and also hitting on the ground more so than regular jujitsu. Of course submissions are a mainstay in this class too. A fantastic new age style.
