Crazy Monkey Defense Program
CMDP is the core stand-up, clinch and ground program. The emphasis is on excellent stand-up skills, takedown defense, and how to handle ground situations with the end goal of returning back to a standing position. The world-famous “Crazy Monkey Defense” is taught as a simple, effective way for even the “athletically challenged” to defend against hard, oncoming strikes unscathed!

Self-Preservation
Classes geared more toward the self-defense aspects of the larger core CMDP curriculum. Focus will be on psychological and physiological considerations, and techniques may be modified for the differing nature of a self-preservation encounter. Unarmed defense against a knife assault will also be covered.

Red Zone Knife Defense
No patty cake moves or unrealistic techniques. The Red Zone is a pressure-tested, unarmed method of surviving a full-contact knife assault.Private Instruction AvailableDesigned to be flexible for busier schedules. Allows more specialized training focusing on the individual’s training goals, and more advanced application of mental game coaching techniques. Recommended for maximum results.

Coaching Method

Nobody wants to go to a martial arts class and get hurt on a daily basis, you have other interests in life and it takes a progressive toll on your body. Nobody wants to hear how much they suck or feel like they can’t get something right, because the instructor doesn’t know or care how they are struggling.
Here, we practice a method known as “strength-based coaching”, where your positive attributes are focused on so that you are always psychologically driven to perform at your best, and therefore improve.Our classes are designed to be smaller, with individualized attention. Tait Fletcher is founder and head trainer at Undisputed Fitness. He began his career in Martial Arts in 1999 with the dog brothers stick fighting fraternity before earning his purple belt in Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu with Gracie Barra (the largest Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu school in the world, originating in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil). In 2005 he placed in both his weight class, and in the open division of the Pan American Jiu-Jitsu Championships (the largest Jiu-Jitsu competition in North America). Tait was awarded his brown belt in the 10th Planet system by Eddie Bravo in 2007. For several years Tait was a personal bodyguard to Joe Rogan (who is also a Jiu-Jitsu brown belt) while working as a head trainer at Legends MMA, a premier mixed martial arts training camp and fitness center in Hollywood, CA (co-owned by Randy Couture and Bas Rutten). Most famously, Tait was a UFC contestant on Season 3 of Spike TV’s The Ultimate Fighter. He currently holds his own professional MMA record of 5-2, while coaching professional fighters out of both Jackson’s MMA, and Undisputed Fitness in Santa Fe.

Our focus is to help each other reach our personal goals and strive for new ones. Mr. Monsivaiz has 28 years of experience in Kenpo Karate, Kickboxing and Boxing, both amateur and professional levels. He is a lifelong resident of Las Cruces.

Mr. Tony Sigala, 7th Degree Black Belt began his path in the Martial Arts in 1970. He knew from the first day, this would be his life’s work. Mr. Sigala began setting challenging goals for himself and successfully became a professional Kick Boxer in less than two years. He was ranked in the top ten in the worled in three different weight divisions. His fans called him “Little Bear” for his courage and strength. Today, the Sigalas have built their schools with the same indomitable spirit. Their legacy along with their confidence and energy are passed down through their students.

Coach Richard Mirabal joined the American Kenpo Karate Academy in 1981 when he was 17 years old, he started as junior instructor and instructed group classes for all all ages in orange throught green belt divisions. He also trained and competed in Kenpo Karate, Kick boxing & Boxing. He later earned a black belt in Kenpo karate in 1984 under Master Bill Packer. He became the manager of American Kenpo Karate Academy and also trained and competed under 3-Time World Champion kickboxer Pat Romero. Richard than later trained the youth in kick boxing/boxing at his home in the South Valley. In 2002 he volunteered his time as a boxing coach at Jack Candelaria Community Center and is also employed with Youth Development Inc as a Case Manager for the at-risk youth. Richard also started promoting boxing/kick boxing in 1993 and has successfully produced top notch Pro-Am boxing events and has changed the face of amateur boxing by adding a pro style touch to every event and giving the youth in our community a chance to excel and make a difference in their life.
