StraightBlast Gym of Alabama, located in Huntsville, was established in 1990 for the sole purpose of finding the truth in practical and functional martial arts by using the philosophies, concepts, principals and theories of Jan Fan Jeet Kune Do. Today we have evolved into a gym that offers a lifestyle in functional martial arts such as Muay Thai, Submission Wrestling, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, MMA and JKD.
Our concept is simple; we believe that the more you embrace the lifestyle of a particular martial art, especially functional martial arts, the more a individual’s personal development and understanding of that art becomes, always keeping in mind that an individual’s growth differs from person to person.
This is what you are guaranteed to find at SBG of Alabama; great coaching, great people plus an alive environment where you will be able to develop your game at your own pace. We have people who range in ages from their teens all the way up to their mid 50’s; all training under one roof. We have fighters both professional and amateur, people who train for self defense and also people who love the lifestyle that this type of training has to offer.

I was wondering if there was an age requirement or can you join at any age?
