APEX Mixed Martial Arts Training Center is Tucson, Arizona’s home of champions, and whether you are training to fight or get in shape, you will find your motivation here with TEAM APEX! At APEX you will be trained by MMA fighters who share techniques, skills, and conditioning drills that are battle-tested in the cage.

Mixed Martial Arts is the fastest growing sport in America, yet it dates back to the Ancient Greek Olympics. It involves striking and submission wrestling techniques both while standing or on the ground.

  1. I am very pleased with the facilities and staff at Apex. I have 2 teenagers enrolled here, a 14 year old and an 18 year old.My kids are homeschooled, so we decided to try Apex for a physical activity requirement.Even though they enrolled as total novices, they were treated with respect and felt very comfortable. Since beginning the Kickboxing, my 14 year old has become more confident. My 18 year old is more active and I could not be happier. It is very affordable and the facility is kept very clean (which may not matter to some people but it does to me.)I would highly recommend Apex to all of my friends and family. I am even thinking about joining myself!

  2. secret says:

Good gym, but dont let some of the big tattood members decieve you, youtube their fightnights, it seems as if they get noobs off the streets to get there ass beat by the more experience members, ive heard they convince people to fight who are far far far far far FAR from ready. half of the people they convince to fight… couldnt do a armbar for the love of god

GOOD GYM, but can feel very sketchy at times.

  3. rocgrad says:

Agree with Secret……sketchy YES! And that’s only due to Joey and how he relates to members. He wants to make $$$ above all else. Will push noobs that aren’t ready to fight to get in the cage. The do not offer a beginner MMA class.

And if your a chick…..watch out. Nicole works full time and can’t keep and eye on joey 24/7. Don’t go near him without a script for zovirax. You’ve been warned.

  4. out of your league says:

3 reasons why APEX owner didn’t make it to the Ulitmate Fighter 16 finals:

    1. He didn’t want it bad enough.

    2. He wasn’t good enough.

    3. Just like Dana said……”he was on xanax”….or maybe weeded up.

Face it….time to retire and let your college educated wife run the gym…..that’s the only way to make a profit as your not smart enough to do so.
