Living Defense Martial Arts (LDMA) in Sherwood, Arkansas, offers instruction in Tae Kwon Do, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Kickboxing, Grappling/MMA and Little Dragons kids programs. We are part of Team LDMA, an affiliation of martial arts across the United States that adheres to the same guidelines and principles. At Team LDMA, our philosophy is this: To allow you to live your life to the fullest through your training, to be on a personal level with each student’s progress.

Master Danny Dring is the owner and founder of Living Defense Martial Arts. Master Dring’s foresight of the evolution of Martial Arts led him to “cross training” before “cross training” became the norm. It was the forward thinking of Master Dring that led to the evolution of Danny Dring’s Taekwondo Plus into Living Defense Martial Arts. Starting with a Taekwondo base, Master Dring began cross training early in his martial arts career with Boxing, Muay Thai and Kali & Escrima; his quest for knowledge eventually led him to Weeping Style Jujutsu, and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu.

Master Dring has overcome a crippling hip injury to transform a small Arkansas karate school into a Martial Arts Academy respected around the world. With over 25 years experience in the Martial Arts and hundreds of awards as a competitor and trainer, Mr. Dring is truly a “Master of the Martial Arts.”
