Atos Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in San Diego, California, is lead by Andre Galvao and is here to stay. Andre opened the doors of his Atos academy about a year ago & has grown every since. Andre not only looks to host his fellow team mates when they are in town, but also wants to host the city of San Diego and pass on his knowledge of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to everyone.
Andre Galvao is a Jiu Jitsu World Champion, now fighting Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) under the Strikeforce organization. He is famous for his aggressive BJJ style and his battles in the Open Weight division of the World Jiu Jitsu Championships. In 2010, Galvao released a book on how he developed his own style of Jiu Jitsu, the book named “Drill to Win” was taken with great interest by the BJJ community and is today an important reference on the subject.
Andre’s vast knowledge of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Judo, and Mixed Martial Arts comes from over 10 years of competitive tested techniques. Galvao has competed all over the world and has trained & trained with some of the world’s best bjj practitioners.
