Boxing on the Boulevard in Hollywood, California, specializes in teaching boxing to novices. Whether you’ve had a little bit of experience or you’ve never thrown a punch, you’ll never feel intimidated in our gym. Owner/Instructor Terry Houlihan has been actively involved in the sport of Boxing for over 24 years. He began teaching fitness through boxing in 1985, and he has been empowered by the community ever since.

Lessons are private, one-on-one and geared to the individual student. The attitude is relaxed, the environment is friendly and the pace is up to you. These lessons focus on core skills: Learning punches, shadow boxing, working with heavy bags, double-end bags and speed bags. A workout schedule of one to three lessons per week is highly recommended.

If you choose, you can also learn to spar! Once you’ve tackled the basics, your instructor can introduce you to the gear and technique involved in this interactive part of the sport.
