Cissero Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy in San Jose, California features hands on black belt training, and lengthy training sessions. Our academy curtails training to families and individual needs. We maintain a family-like atmosphere.  To train Cissero means to train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with excellence under the guidance of black belt instructor Tom Cissero.

Tom Cissero is the Head Instructor and a Pitbull Black Belt Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. His focus on hard training allows his students to reach and exceed their potential by maintaining the fighting spirit in each match. Every student is expected to face one another no matter what rank, size, strength, age, or sex. Doing so makes a student feel confident against any opponent. His versatility in other arts such as Wrestling, Judo, and Muay Thai gives students a well balanced understanding of fighting. His unique approach of Gi and no-Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu offers another dimension of the ground arts by preparing you to every possibility of self defense. His ability to explain and differentiate street fighting and sport fighting gives students understanding of what to do when and why.

At Cissero, members train hard and train safe, focusing on both Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and MMA, including wrestling, Muay Thai, boxing, and kickboxing.  Every belt color is welcome.  We support a wide of experience levels and encourage a variety of training partners from beginning to advanced.
