ATTENTION MILITARY MEMBERS SPOUSES AND ANY AMERICAN WHO SUPPORTS THIS COUNTRY! DO NOT GO TO CITY BOXING!
IF you are in the MILITARY DO NOT GO TO THIS GYM CITY BOXING. I am in the NAVY when I signed up at City Boxing, I told them and they told me when I deployed that I can cancel my membership. This was anything but the truth. I called City Boxing and told them I wanted to cancel the membership because I was being deployed to IRAQ. They told me I needed an official letter (even though they told me I can call and cancel even though when i signed up the told me other wise), which was fine and not a big deal. I obtained the letter and sent it to them. CITY BOXING charged me 4 months after the cancellation of my membership and told me they never received a letter. I sent another one with the deployment dates but they said I had to pay for the 4 months because that is when they received the letter. I of course did not and they then charged me the whole years membership and sent my account to collections (the year was not even up). Anyway I contacted the city attorney and the company has done this to a lot of military members and the city attorney was looking into the matter. I have not heard back yet but hopefully justice will be served!
So MILITARY or not CITY BOXING IS A CORRUPT COMPANY AND NO ONE SHOULD SUPPORT THEM! I WAS FIGHTING ACROSS SEAS FOR OUR COUNTRY AND CITY BOXING WANTS TO CHARGE ME FOR A MEMBERSHIP I CANCELLED AND WAS TOLD I COULD CANCEL.
I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH CITY BOXING!
