Kali/Escrima is a highly sophisticated and compre-hensive martial art from the Philippines. It is a weapons-based system that emphasizes fluidity and technique rather than brute strength. More commonly known as the Filipino Martial Arts, this system will also help the student develop speed, agility, timing, coordination and body mechanics.
This class is a highly aerobic and energetic workout using kickboxing and boxing fundamentals for overall fat burning and muscle toning. An outstanding program to get in shape. Also a great way to develop upper and lower body strength and definition. This class is a must for those seeking lean muscle tone.
MIXED MARTIAL ARTS SPARRING
This class is a multiple-range sparring class including: boxing, kickboxing, kickboxing with takedowns, grappling and knife sparring. Excellent for developing timing, distance, stamina and realism to your training.
JUN FAN/JEET KUNE DO
The style of Bruce Lee, JKD is a blend of Western Boxing, French Savate, Wing Chun, Muay Thai, various Gung Fu systems and fencing. The JDK student will learn punching, kneeing, elbowing, kicking, as well as throwing and grappling. The throwing and grappling in JKD comes from Japanese Judo and Jiu-Jitsu as well as Chinese Chin Na and western wrestling. The JKD practitioner is also well versed in hand immobilization or trapping.
COMBAT SUBMISSION WRESTLING (CSW)
The official style of world light heavyweight shoot-wrestling champion Erik Paulson, this system blends judo, freestyle wrestling, Greco-Roman wrestling, and submissions from Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Sambo and Catchascatchcan. IKCA is an official CSW training facility.
