Livermore Martial Arts Academy in Livermore, California, is dedicated to providing our students with the most professional, high-quality martial arts training atmosphere possible. Livermore Martial Arts Academy is affiliated with Frazier Martial Arts in Southern California, and a World Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Association school (WBJJA)!
Our adult program is comprised of a variety of martial arts, but the core disciplines include TaeKwon-Do and Brazilian Jiu JItsu (BJJ). Our classes place an emphasis on BJJ due to the fact that most attacks end up on the ground. Although attacks on the street are unpredictable, this class combines techniques which will give the student the tools needed to defend themselves both on the ground and from the standing position. At the same time, it is a cardio intensive class designed to build fitness and conditioning.
Chief Instructor Professor Bonifacio is a police officer, a certified Gracie Combatives Instructor (Law Enforcement Defensive Tactics), and has been involved in the martial arts for over 30 years. He has trained extensively in the following arts: Modern Arnis/Kombatan (Filipino Martial Arts), TaeKwon-Do, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Shotokan Karate.
At the Livermore Martial Arts Academy, we train our students for self defense. Some of our students do compete in tournaments, but it is not required. Our training is done in a safe, friendly and controlled environment. Egos are left at the door.
