Modern Combatives Mixed Martial Arts (ModCom MMA), located in Berkeley, California, is Fun, Challenging, Safe and Supportive Training Environment with classes in Mixed Martial Arts, Kickboxing, Clinch, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Judo, and more! We offer realistic self-defense skills and training in a supportive environment where improved performance, fitness, and fun are the only criteria. We incorporate movement, timing, and appropriate progressive resistance from a training partner in all aspects of our training. This aliveness means that individuals discover how to make skills work- themselves. Practice becomes a real process of self-discovery. Anyone can train this way, regardless of age or current level of fitness.
