Colorado Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy is dedicated to bringing its students precise Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instruction. Our purpose is to provide you with the best Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instruction in Colorado, along with Submission Grappling, Mixed Martial Arts and Muay Thai Kickboxing.

Academy Instructor Mike Nickels was a star of season 3 of  UFC’s “The Ultimate Fighter”. Mike has been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 2003 and within that three years his Jiu-Jitsu/Grappling skills have surpassed any and all expectations. Within that time frame, Mike has competed in several BJJ/Grappling tournaments all over the country, including Grapplers Quest, placing 1st each time, and the highly renowned BJJ Championships, the Pan American Championships, in which he also placed 1st at each tournament. Winning tournament after tournament has earned Mike a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Purple Belt, given to him directly from Rigan Machado himself.

Oscar Martinez is the Muay Thai Instructor and Muay Thai of Colorado, and is a veteran of Muay Thai with numerous fights, and various championship titles. Oscar is a certified instructor through the Muay Thai Academy of America, and is a licensed corner man for both professional and amateur fighter throughout the state of Colorado. Oscar currently teaches and helps train fighters for Colorado Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
