Located in Boulder, Colorado, Front Range Boxing Academy has everything you need for a full-body workout; rings, speed bags, heavy bags of various sizes and weights, double-end bags, and a variety of other traditional boxing equipment (jump ropes, medicine balls, free weights, weight machines abdominal exercise stations). We also provide hand wraps, gloves of different sizes and weights, and sparring safety equipment for your protection (Sparring is optional and only permitted under proper supervision).

Our gym is open 7 days a week for open workouts, lessons, sparring, and special programs. Please see our schedule for specific times. You don’t have to take a beating to take advantage of the health and fitness benefits of the boxer’s workout. Learn to slip, block, duck, parry and throw bunches of punches, to move with grace, speed and power. Learn the strategies prizefighters use to outwit and out fight each other. “A challenging, enjoyable alternative training program”.

Head Instructor/Owner Dave Gaudette has been in boxing since 1967. He earned the New Hampshire Amateur Lightweight Championship in 1969, and was the Southern New England Junior Welterweight Champion in 1971. He was president and captain of the Stonehill College Boxing Club in North Easton, MA from 1968 to 1972. Gaudette learned the art of boxing and training boxers under the tutelage of trainers like Willie Lafond, Goody Petronelli, and Angelo Dundee.

Gaudette earned his Master’s Degree in Comparative East/West Philosophy from the University of Colorado and spent a number of years as an elementary school teacher. He also was employed from 1998-2003 as an assistant coach for the C.U. Buffaloes in the Speed, Strength And Conditioning Center at Dal Ward, using boxing to enhance players’ timing, hand/eye coordination, balance, footwork and power and has trained and managed a number of amateur and professional boxers.
