Greenwood Athletic Club

Greenwood Athletic and Tennis Club in Greenwood, Colorado, started as concept in 1985 as a project of the John Madden Company, the founders of Greenwood Plaza. GATC has remained an industry leader almost from the beginning. Over the years, we have have ebbed and flowed with the evolving of the industry and the needs of membership and the upgrading trend has since been a regular part of our operational formula. We have responded to member needs and market demands by adding 7 indoor clay tennis courts in a fully air conditioned and award winning tennis club in 1995. The main club has been through several remodels and ongoing upgrades (both interior and exterior) to remain vital and prepared to exceed the expectations of membership. The most comprehensive remodel was completed in February 2002.

On Greenwood Athletic and Tennis Club’s 19th Anniversary, July 1, 2006, 3 new and beautiful outdoor pools were opened, including an adult-only leisure pool, youth splash pool with fountains and slide and a 6 lane lap pool that will remain open all year around with heated decks. We continue to make improvements with the goal of always keeping our facility fresh and vibrant. GAC is proud to offer instruction in Boxing and other martial arts, including Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Mixed Martial Arts.

Terrible customer service and rude trainers. Unless you are part of their program, they don’t even acknowledge that you need help. I want to have a fun training session, not just burn calories. MMA Room AND Trainers are as boring as boring can be. Can get way better work-out for WAY less at a smaller local MMA gym or 24 hr or Lifetime. Not impressed with Greenwood at all…

All training happens in a tiny stuffy room. The instructors aren’t into it at all. They make it more of a “work-out with a little MMA thrown in” instead of “MMA that works you out.” Way more impressed with the little, more MMA specific gyms. Just a waste of space at Greenwood.
