MMA Fit is one of Miami’s newest gyms, lead by Brent Carraway. Located in North Miami Beach, students can learn punching techniques (Tsuki Waza), kicking techniques (Geri Waza), and throwing techniques (Nagi Waza). Koei Kan was founded in 1952 by Master Eizo Onishi and brought to the United States in 1954 by Professor Edward Kaloudis. The Florida Headquarters was founded in 1991 by Stephen C. Mason.

The Academy of Koei Kan curriculum includes:
* Proper technique execution
* Body movement methodology
* Oriental courtesy and language use

* Goshinjitsu training (i.e. throwing, reaping, sweeping, joint manipulation, etc.)
* Kata (prearranged form), designated moves (Bunkai), and Hidden moves (kakushite)
* Kumite (matching), armored full contact (Bogu), free style (Jiyu), and basic (Kihon)
