University of Florida MMA/BJJ Club AKA Gator Grappling is a Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) training club dedicated to excelling in all ranges of combat through smart, safe and consistent training. Similar to Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kun Do, we do not limit ourselves to any one discipline and instead focus on applying realistic martial arts training; skills and techniques that will work in both the ring/cage and the streets.
Therefore, our goal is to produce well rounded martial artists who are skilled in both self defense and sport style MMA. If you have a desire for serious, realistic martial arts training in an ego-free environment, you are more than welcome to join our group. Students of all skill levels are welcome!
Practice is usually held in the O’Connell Center Martial Arts Room (SOC) on the Gainesville campus, so please check our page for the most current schedule and information.
