Macon ATA Martial Arts has served the Macon, Georgia area for years. Mr. Charles Wilkerson and his staff provide excellent local instruction in Taekwondo, and now Mixed Martial Arts. We have several programs for a variety of purposes, ranging from basic martial arts, to self defense, to esteem and life skills building and more. Over the years, the ATA has come to realize that there are many reasons for studying Songham Taekwondo, and we have worked hard to develop programs that will help realize these goals rather than forcing our students into one, linear area of study and practice.
The purpose of the MMA training is to broaden the experience of current students as well as provide an outlet for the current MMA craze. One important note is that we do not provide cage fighting specific training for those that are interested in MMA fighting. Some of our students want to compete while others just want to learn effective self defense.
