At Gracie Barra Decatur in Decatur, Illinois, our school kids, young adults and adults can train in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) for self-defense, fitness, competition or personal well-being. We welcome new students from beginners to experienced practitioners who want to learn these styles of martial arts. Our instructor, Professor Lisa De La Rosa, is a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and a current student of Professor Marcos Barros of Gracie Barra Springfield.

Our brown belt and head instructor Lisa De La Rosa trains under Professor Marcos Barros. Lisa has competed and trained with many Gracie Barra Instructors including the legendary Master Carlos Gracie Jr. Lisa has trained the Gracie Barra techniques repetitively, and believes in and teaches every detail of this system that is taught consistantly at all Gracie Barra academies. Lisa is the only instructor in Decatur, IL who has been given permission by Master Carlos Gracie Jr. to teach Gracie Barra Jiu-Jitsu.
