Brian Chewning’s Taekwondo & Jiu-Jitsu Academy in Lexington, Kentucky, teaches life skills and values through the wonderful arts of ITA Taekwondo and Wolf Pack Jiu-Jitsu. Train in a school that becomes your family! We are a member academy of the International Taekwondo Alliance, an organization of hundreds of licensed academies across the United States, Great Britain and South Korea. Like all ITA academies, we teach a curriculum of Ho-Am (or “Tiger Rock”) taekwondo.
We also offer classes in Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, with instructors certified by Charles Dos Anjos and Larry Shealy of the Wolfpack Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Team. Wolfpack BJJ offers a Kid-Jitsu program specifically created to address safety and discipline issues in teaching martial arts to children. Kid-Jitsu revolves around a 52-week instructional cycle, instructing students in each of 26 basic jiu-jitsu techniques and their applications.
Our Wolfpack BJJ program has no age limit, although it offers great opportunities for cross-training with taekwondo to become a better martial artist overall. Our instructors are recertified every year by requirement.
We offer Family Classes and Lessons SIX days a week.
