We at Sanctum Mixed Martial Arts in Brooklyn, Maryland, believe in real training. Many other schools teach you that if you weigh 120lbs., that you can throw a 300lb person with no problem. NOT IN THE REAL WORLD. Defending yourself and surviving takes mental and physical conditioning, technique, strength, endurance, and wisdom. What we offer you is the ability to learn the skills necessary to survive an attack. We offer the sense of having a second family here, where everyone is free to try variations of the techniques they learn, and share them with others that might benefit from it. Check the “certifications” of other schools instructors- you’ll find that they frame certificates from seminars- not actual certifications. I can’t right a review about a gym with no website. I heard through the grapevine that their owner is a big dude, a brawler, and gases out after one round.
