Detroit Jiu-Jitsu Academy is Metro Detroit’s only official Saulo Ribeiro Assocation. That means you’ll learn the freshest, most advanced and up to date Brazilian jiu-jitsu techniques known today, from the world over champion Saulo Ribeiro. We are conveniently located inside one of the finest and most well-kept gyms in Metro Detroit, the “Oakwood Gym” in Melvindale.
We have an extremely clean and safe training environment. All of our students and instructors are of the highest caliber – all our members are very friendly and part teachers themselves. Our members are all professionals from all walks of life. Everything from firefighters, managers, CIS specialists, pharmacists, contractors, and of course students. We strongly promote a team mentality, and care first and foremost for the safety of our members.
