At Mario Roberto Jiu-Jitsu Academy in Rochester, Minnesota, our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) program is supervised and taught by MRJJA’s head instructor, Mario Roberto. Our classes are designed to accommodate all kinds of students, from beginners to advanced grapplers. Academy members have the unique opportunity to study directly under an experienced black belt from Brazil. All students have access to personal, up-to-date, high level Jiu-Jitsu instruction. Our broad curriculum covers the sport aspects of BJJ, no-gi grappling, self-defense and mixed martial arts training. Students can attend group classes, and may opt to join our private classes and seminars. It is our commitment to help our students reach their training goals.

As part of the membership package, all of our students have full access to the boxing program. The 4th Street Boxing Gym is recognized as one of the top amateur boxing institutions in the state of Minnesota. A highly professional coaching staff relies on extensive know-how and experience to provide students with excellent instruction.

Our gym venue is the perfect match for our cross-training oriented program. Group classes take place in a spacious matted area, with padded walls that provide extra safety and comfort to our students. An elevated, 30-foot MMA cage and numerous heavy bags provide the physical backbone to the Muay Thai program. The gym is also furnished with state of the art fitness equipment and free weights, all of which are accessible to the students.
