High Sierra Jujitsu

High Sierra Jujitsu in Reno, Nevada, teaches the Hawaiian DanZan Ryu Jujitsu system incorporating other martial arts such as Kendo, United Fighting Arts, Hawaiian Kempo, Modern Arnis, Submission Grappling, Weapons, Seifukujitsu and Okazaki Restorative Massage (ORM). High Sierra students learn self defense tactics and strategies as well as healing techniques for men, women, children and families.

DanZan Ryu Jujitsu (DZR) is an internationally recognized system of Hawaiian Jujitsu engaging the student in a lifetime of self discovery. DZR is effective on the streets and competitive in the gym, but foremost, it is a system of character development and completion that follows ethical principles. Students of DZR practice not only techniques, but the belief in Kokua (helping spirit) and Ohana (family spirit). At High Sierra Jujitsu the martial arts is for a lifetime and for everyone, old, young, athletic or physically challenged. High Sierra Jujitsu maintains a supply and demand philosophy where classes will be scheduled for the student’s convenience if the interest and committment are real.

The AJJF is an international, nonprofit, tax-exempt corporation represented by Jujitsu, Judo and other martial arts systems and styles. The AJJF certifies DanZan Ryu Jujitsu black belt ranks. High standards of skill, knowledge, proficiency and ethical conduct are required for a nationally recognized AJJF DanZan Ryu Jujitsu black belt rank. Hundreds of men and women currently hold AJJF black belt ranks.
