Since 1994, Tim Barchard’s Professional Martial Arts Academy has provided quality Martial Arts instruction in the Derry, New Hampshire area. Founded on the principles of personal attention, tradition, student service, and teaching excellence, PMA has been rated among the Top 20 Schools in the Martial Arts Industry.
Tim Barchard’s Professional Martial Arts Academy is home to Renzo Gracie Jiu Jitsu of New Hampshire. New Hampshire’s ONLY official Renzo Gracie Jiu Jitsu training academy. MMA classes are also available to work on striking, take-downs, and no-gi submissions.
We are not only interested in self-defense, but in the character development of each person as a whole. A famous teacher once said, “These are tools of everyday life, what you learn in here, you can apply elsewhere…” Nowhere is this more important than in our children’s classes, where we realize that we embody the same principles that you as parents are trying to instill in your children.

I cannot give Professor Barchard, and his wife Sensei Laura enough praise. They run this academy brilliantly. I currently take Muay Thai, and my two daughters are enrolled in karate. The staff here are INCREDIBLE with children! They do all kinds of extra activities with them during different times of the year. It’s like a big family there, without the drama.
Gym is small. Instructor/owner is not even a black belt in any discipline. A little immature and rude too.
