New York Jiu Jitsu is the Manhattan school of the American Jiu-Jitsu Federation, providing Jiu jitsu and self-defense classes for everyone – women, men and children.  The best way to experience jiu jitsu for yourself is to schedule a free trial week.  New York Jiu Jitsu offers trial lessons where you will be introduced to your first jiu jitsu techniques.  Our styles include:

- American Jiu Jitsu – A self-defense style that is primarily stand-up jiu jitsu with a strong emphasis on ground defense.

- Brazilian Jiu Jitsu – A grappling-centered martial art that’s aim is to gain a dominant position over your opponent and cause them to submit through the use of joint locks and chokeholds.

- Conditioning – A “fighter’s- type” workout to improve stamina, strength, coordination, and physique.

Our programs are designed to help you create positive change. Develop the focus to succeed in everyday life. Learn situation control, focus, confidence, mental and physical conditioning, camaraderie and respect. Start your path to confidence, security and peace of mind.

New York Jiu Jitsu is located in the heart of Manhattan’s NoHo neighborhood. We are located at 666 Broadway (Entrance on Bond Street), two blocks north of Houston Street.

New York Jiu Jitsu is extremely accessible by public transportation, especially the following subway lines:
6 Train to Bleecker Street

  1. brutal says:

Great gym and excellent instructors. Muay Thai coach is intense but approachable. i had questions about my form with a few strikes, after class he gave me some time and extra instruction. MMA coach is really cool, BJJ coach is really good, dont really do AJJ. strength and conditioning is intense. they have a small cage and showers. my only problems are, i wish there was a beginner striking class and more strength and conditioning classes.
