At Fudo Shin Jujitsu & Combat Arts in Columbia, South Carolina, learn the combat effective art of Danzan Ryu Jujitsu, which encompasses strikes, throws, chokes, ground defense, submission holds and escapes. Sensei Lance Adams is the head instructor and founder. He started his martial arts training in Shito Ryu Karate and Katsu Ryu Kempo under Soke Joe Ruiz and Renshi Barbara Pleasant of Belvedere, South Carolina. He is a black belt in Danzan Ryu Jujitsu under sixth degree black belt Tom Ryan of Palmetto Jujitsu Academy. Sensei Adams is a deputy with the Richland County Sheriffs Department in Columbia. He is a former South Carolina State Trooper and South Carolina Department of Corrections Officer.
Fudo Shin Jujitsu & Combat Arts current meets at Meadowlake Park, located inside private area downstairs behind the gym.
