Blalocks IMB is the top MMA school in the Chattanooga area. It is an outstanding gym. There is gear for every student in the gym and tons of knowledge amongst the trainers to be passed to the students. Chet Blalock the owner, is an excellent coach and great fighter. Being the first black belt in BJJ in the state of Tennessee, Chet has the knowledge and skill to bring your game to another level. If your looking for a great gym to learn how to evolve as an MMA fighter look no further then Blalocks IMB.

    -VERY HAPPY STUDENT.

The location and facility itself is run down and beat up. Chet does not teach any classes himself, and puts in the new member in with the amateur MMA fighters, who go on to just beat the new guy up. Chet also seems to be an egocentric gym owner, and despite what his credentials might say, he is a horrible coach for anyone who does not seek to become a professional MMA fighter. Would not recommend this gym to anyone who wanted to actually learn a martial arts or any self-defense.
