Eclectic Combat Systems (ECS) was born from a lifetime of dedication and achievement in the Martial Arts. ECS focuses on techniques and strategies adopted from a variety of styles. The eclectic training approach has proven itself time and time again, and because of its diverse nature, ECS offers solid training programs. The differentiating point between ECS and most Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) schools is that ECS focuses on self-defense applications in addition to competition.
We offer three programs: ECS Sambo/Jiu-Jitsu, ECS Kickboxing and ECS MMA.
The ECS Sambo/Jiu-Jitsu program focuses on various techniques and strategies adopted from both Japanese and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu as well as Judo and Sambo. The Kickboxing program is a blend of American and Thai style Kickboxing, modified for both gloved and no-gloved striking. The ECS MMA Program is a blend of both the ECS Sambo/Jiu-jitsu and ECS Kickboxing Programs.
The ECS Pflugerville, Texas school is an Professional Member Club in good standing with the American Sambo Association (ASA), a chartered school of the United States Judo Association (USJA), and the United States Ju-jitsu Federation (USJJF).

by far the best place I ever trained. for years I trained in ground game only but with Coach Grants sambo/judo portion of training, you learn many combat and competition throws and finishes. The first fight school where I trained in throws, take downs and ground game equally. i suggest this school for anyone who wants to expand their knowledge in total combat/competition fighting. This is a combat school 1st, competition, either way, you will be prepared for both. Coach Grant has many years experience in many martial arts styles including JUDO, Japanese Ju jitsu, brazilian jiu jitsu, sambo and wrestling. A very knowledgable instructor with many years experience in coaching and competition fighting and grappling.
