Our instructor Professor Philipe Della Monica is a 1st degree Black Belt and has taught with Professor Marcio Feitosa, and Master Carlos Gracie Jr at Gracie Barra America.
GB The Loop is a place to come and learn Jiu-Jitsu from people who have trained with the best in the world and know what Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is. Master Carlos Gracie Jr. is the founder and president of the BJJ federation and is the son of Grand Master Carlos Gracie who along with his brothers started Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Our head instructor, Professor Philipe trained with some famous name like Renato “Babalu” Sobral, Georges St Pierre, Roger Gracie and others at Gracie Barra America School.
We strictly adhere to the rules of BJJ and take great pride in offering the best instruction and believe that Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is one of the best sports around, not only do you learn practical self defense skills, it is also one of the best aerobic workouts there is. People who begin the sport are surprised at how good they feel after training and some people also are surprised at how much weight they lose just from increasing their activity level. All ages can practice this sport and families can participate together, making it something a person can do all of their life.
We also believe that a disciplined life involves all areas and we are happy to incorporate throughout the year various seminars dealing with nutrition, exercise, fitness etc. These seminars are offered to help the students learn a healthier way to live and give practical solutions to the problems everyone has trying to stay in shape while balancing a very busy life. Jiu-Jitsu is a life style.
