Per OCRegister, the HB Bad Boy is opening up a MMA training center in Huntington Beach.  Tito’s new training center is called “Punishment Training Center”.

HUNTINGTON BEACH – Mixed Martial Arts fighter Tito Ortiz, who calls himself “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy,” will open his Punishment Training Center on Saturday afternoon.

Center director Cindy Dwyer said the event will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. and will feature several local vendors and demos by U.S. Marines and Muy Thai and Jiu Jitsu experts.

“Tito Ortiz will be signing autographs as well,” she said.

The training center houses an 8,000-square-foot area with gym, circuit training, weights and a “full-sized cage” with 40 Muay Thai bags.

The 36-year-old MMA fighter was the Light Heavyweight Champion from 2000 to 2003. Ortiz was also one of the sport’s early stars who was among the biggest pay-per-view draws of 2006. Ortiz, a Huntington Beach native, is also the CEO of Punishment Athletics, a mixed martial arts equipment and clothing line.

Ortiz was arrested by Huntington Beach police last April on suspicion of domestic violence over allegations that he attacked his girlfriend, former porn star Jenna Jameson. The Orange County District Attorney, however, did not file charges due to “insufficient corroboration to prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt.”

Ortiz himself spoke tearfully after his release from jail last April saying he did not attack his girlfriend and that they had gotten into an argument because he believed she was addicted to prescription drugs.

The Punishment Training Center is at 15321 Transistor Lane. Information: 714-894-2399 or visit titoortiz.com.
