Located in the Foothills in Montrose, California, Fight Forum Mixed Martial Arts has quickly become one of the premier locations for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai and MMA training in the Valley.  We are a Wander Braga School: Wander is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under Jorge Pereira.   Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Wander has been training jiu-jitsu for over two decades. He is currently undefeated as an NHB (no holds barred) fighter and devotes his time to teaching at his two academies.

Whether you’re serious about competition or just looking to get in shape, Fight Forum has something to offer. We have safe and effective programs for adults and kids in Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai Kickboxing.

Fight Forum MMA was established in 2005 and has turned out a slew of top notch champions and helped hundreds of average folks get in great shape. However the focus has primarily been on traditional Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. In October of 2010, we began greatly expanding our schedule and programs offered to provide our students and clientele with a broader spectrum of training options. At the core of all our classes are movement, momentum, and mechanics… and thus M3 Fight and Fitness was born.

I had been working out at home with some limited success, but at some point I had plateaued. Upon a recommendation from a friend about this place, plus watching a lot of MMA, I decided upon registering here.

First off, the MMA conditioning is the most intense work out I’ve ever done. I’ve tried other at home DVD exercise programs that one would deem “insane” but MMA conditioning beats the intensity of that easily. Additionally, you’re working out with other people and seeing them power through (suffer?) through the same thing, so it builds a sense of camaraderie and pushes you to keep going.

Second, this place is clean. The staff maintains it meticulously and you can really tell. There can be 20 sweaty guys rolling on the mats, but the place still smells clean.

Third, and most importantly, the staff is amazing. Their coaching techniques both challenge and motivate you. When you’re doing something wrong, they give you the personal attention to correct it, and watch you til you do it right, without calling you out in front of everyone. One can tell that they really care about the students.

Lastly, all the students there take to heart the mantra of “we are all one team working together to reach your goal!” I have personal experience where one of the competition level students was helping me, even though I am a novice. He didn’t take it easy on me, but he made sure to not demoralize me and to point out that he’d been working a long time to get to where he is. Even the newer students who have started around the same time as me are all helpful and it’s a great way to meet some new friends.

Overall, this place is amazing and the amount of classes they have, combined with the spectacular students, staff and facilities cleanliness make me want to be here a long time.
