We offer programs for men, women, and children, as well as seminars and private lessons. We also have specialized courses for law enforcement and military as well. Our curriculum covers all aspects of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, self defense, competition and Vale-Tudo, which includes throws, strikes, takedowns, and submissions. Our method of instruction mixes beginners into ongoing classes with advanced students. This allows not only the new students to learn from the instructor but also from more advanced students as well. Professor Ernest Estrada is a certified 1st degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He also has extensive training in other various fighting arts such as Muay Thai, Escrima, Kali, Shoot Wrestling and Boxing. He received his black belt in August 2006 from his professor and friend, Pedro Carvalho. He has been training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for over thirteen years and is certified with the Jiu-Jitsu federation, Federacao De Jiu-Jitsu Do Estados Do Rio Janeiro (F.J-J. Rio).
The Python Academy is proud and honored to announce that we will be now teaching Ajarn Nelson’s Rhythm Muay Thai System. Ajarn Nelson is 60 years old and has been doing Muay Thai most of his life. He is well known in the Muay Thai community and is sought out by top Muay Thai and MMA coaches throughout the country. His style of Muay Thai is very traditional and not a watered down version. We are excited to have Ajarn Nelson as our Muay Thai Instructor and providing his style of Muay Thai for our students. Our goal is to have the best Muay Thai school in the Coachella Valley.
