Starting in Tae kwon do at 9 years old, Head Instructor/Owner Jimmie Romero moved on to Boxing at the age of 20 with Don Familton. He was then introduced to Erik Paulson (light heavy weight Shooto Champion of the world) and was quickly taken under his wing and began his training at the Inosanto Academy Of Martial Arts. There, he trained with Legendary Dan Inosanto, Ajarn Chai, Jean Jacques Machado, as well as continuing his tutelage under Paulson. Jimmie fought in the Southern California Muay Thai circuit from 1995-1999 with record of 8-1.

Following his wins, Jimmie was made an instructor at the Inosanto Academy. Retiring from the fighting, Jimmie moved on to become a head instructor and MMA coach at the infamous Legends Mixed Martial Arts Center for two years. It was there as an instructor and coach that his 15 years of experience in striking and grappling led to winning records of a multitude of both professional and amateur MMA/Muay Thai fighters.

Since then, Jimmie has developed an extensive list of winning competitors under his guidance, both starting out and advanced. Now opening up his own MMA/Muay Thai gym, Jimmie’s goal is to use his experience and skills to keep his fight team on top as well as breed another generation of champions.
