The only real Jiu-Jitsu in Simi Valley. Kid gloves boxing passes off a purple belt as a lead instructor. Simi Valley Jiu-Jitsu has two Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt Instructors and is for anybody who wants to learn real Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Great gym, good atmosphere. I checked out every place in the area and this is the only real MMA gym with real grappling and its clean. I really like that its clean, and the instructors and students are really great guys. Its a great place to train.

Awesome gym! One of my most favorite things about this gym, is it feels clean. So many gyms out there are nasty..when you are on the mat rolling around, cleanliness is so important! Not to mention, the instructors are great & the students are all really cool. Really great vibe!

This is a really good school. I have only been here for like three months and I’ve learned a lot. Everyone is so friendly and nice. I recommend everyone to go to watts!!!

After years of getting dragged down by wrestlers and judokas, my candy tae kwon do ass could sneak in a few strikes before getting dominated.

I realized that most fights will end up on the floor in one way or another, and being exposed to ER thugs and drunks, along with getting fat, I had to do something.

After research everywhere within 25 miles of my work, Watts MMA (back then, Simi Valley Jiu Jitsu) was the only school that called me back, answered all my questions, and didn’t treat me like I was in boot camp. All the guys there treated me with a lot of respect and were eager to teach me anything I could possibly ask.

    My search ended right there.

If you’re looking for a clean, respectable school with fine instructors and training partners, your search will end here too…

I’ve been coming to Watts MMA for over a year now and i’ve been very impressed. Very large studio, wrestling mats, jiu jitsu mats, multiple kicking bags for Muy Thai, big mirror to focus on technique. The one thing that I love is they continually update and upgrade the studio. Students can see where the money goes as things are always improved. A good group of people train both gi and no-gi and this place is good for beginners or veterans.

KIDS CLASS!! FUN, FUN! I have been going here to the kids class for almost a year. I checked out about 6 other schools in the surrounding area before signing up with this one. I really liked that there was a wide variety of different ages, sizes, and experiences of other kids to grapple with. In some of the other places that I visited there were NOT a lot of variety of kids/choices, so grappling was not a challenge.

I have been in martial arts for over 5 years, so I can tell you that these instructors are very patient compared to the ones that I have had in the past. Their knowledge has helped me with winning in competitions and I look forward to growing and learning more with this school in years to come.

Great School, my son’s been a student for 2 1/2 years, is confident in his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu skills and knows when and when not to use them! My whole family at one point has taken classes at SVJJ/Watts MMA! Basically, there’s something for everyone…..including some up and comming future MMA stars!

  • I’ve been going to SVJJ for a few months now, it’s a great atmosphere, great staff, and a great community of people who love the Martial Arts. I’m a former Marine with experience with MCMAP and the experience and instruction of the teachers here have been able to help me expand on my knowledge base, making me a more complete martial arts student.

All in one martial arts facility: Brazilian Jiujitsu, Muay Thai Kickboxing, Karate. What more could you ask for if you need to defend yourself on the streets? There are classes not just for adults, but for kids too. Don’t be intimidated by the classes because the instructors work with you at your pace to move you up in strength, flexibility, coordination, and knowledge.

I’ve been to San Diego, and other Jiujitsu schools around Simi Valley as well as schools in cities nearby. This one is amazing for children because there are a lot of different children to grapple with. Some schools have such a small selection in terms of body weight, size or experience that it is hard for my son to find the right match or to competitively increase in learning potential. However, this place is perfect if you have a child that is interested in Jiujitsu because there are plenty of children. I also see a lot of pre-teens & high schoolers doing the kickboxing class too.

It’s a fun and friendly atmosphere. Instructors are there when you need them or if you have any technical questions. Basically the instructors always have time for you: great customer service, excellent with children, and for competitive MMA learning.

If you haven’t checked out this facility, then I definitely recommend you to go!
