In 1994, Mario Yamasaki founded the Yamasaki Academy in the United States and its success has made it one of the premier Martial Arts training centers in the United States. Now, the Yamasaki Academy has locations in four continents with representatives in Brazil, Holland, Germany, Sweden, Australia and the US. Our locations in the Mid Atlantic Region serve students from Washington D.C. Montgomery County, Fairfax County, Loudon County, Rockville, Silver Spring, North Potomac, Germantown, Reston, Herndon, Chantilly, Centreville, Fairfax, Arlington, Alexandria, Winchester, and Richmond.
The Academy offers training for adults and children in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), Submission Grappling, Self-defense, Thai Boxing, Capoeira, and Vale Tudo. We are serving students from Reston, Herndon, Chantilly, Centreville, Fairfax, Arlington, and Alexandria in Virginia.
The YAMASAKI HEADQUARTERS located in Rockville, Maryland (near Twinbrook metro station) has 7000 square feet of mat space equipped with top-of-the-line mats and three training rooms. We have locker rooms for men and women completely furnished with bathrooms, showers, lockers, and washer and dryer.
