At Club Jiu Jitsu & Mixed Martial Arts Training Center in Crestview, Florida, our focus is teaching Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. The enormous popularity of BJJ is due to the fact that it has been proven to be effective. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu concentrates on ground grappling techniques using superior leverage and positioning to gain and maintain dominant control over your opponent or attacker.

Regardless of your size or strength, emphasis on proper technical skill can overcome an opponent’s superior size or power. BJJ is challenging but adaptable to all physical ability levels, it is for every man, woman and child. Our classes are both instructional and live sparring/grappling with a resisting partner, which best simulates possible real altercations. Our classes are taught in an atmosphere with positive attitudes and respect for all skill levels.

What started out as just a few Marines wanting to learn BJJ quickly proved to be so popular that we saw a need to have a place where motivated BJJ enthusiasts could learn and continue to train this type of self-defense and Club Jiu Jitsu was established.

Club Jiu Jitsu is run by David and Monica Sanford: David is a graduate of Baker High; a Retired MARINE Lt. Col after 24 yrs of decorated service, he holds a Purple Belt in Gracie style Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ), belted in Marine Corps Martial Arts and has trained Marines and Law Enforement Officers for more than 10 years.
