Following the curriculum created by Professor Pedro Sauer and the Gracie Family, the Technics Academy is focused on spreading the Art of Jiu-Jitsu while staying true to the standards of Gracie/Sauer Family. Our academy offers specialized programs for adults, women and children in one of the most effective martial art and self defense systems in the world.
Head Instructor Rylan Lizares is a Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt under Professor Pedro Sauer. Rylan has been training in the grappling arts for over fifteen years and holds numerous state and local titles. Rylan is the owner and founder of the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Technics Team in Honolulu.
Gracie Technics in the Kalihi/Dillingham area of downtown Honolulu, is an easy access location from major freeway and main roadways. Parking available in lot if you arrive before classes start, but lots of street/ curbside parking alongside facility. Gracie Technics Academy is a spacious, dynamic, well equipped and functional facility, with good ventilation and lighting, mats are fresh and clean and sanitized after every session. Shower and restrooms are available and conveniently located in gym. An conditioning and fitness area is almost complete for use in house to enhance and maximize your experience. Rylan Lizares, Owner/Instructor of Gracie Technics, is an accomplished Black Belt and is a well know and respected practioner and still is an active, winning competitor in Jiu Jitsu competion is on hand daily along with his skilled assistants to make your jiu jitsu experience a meaningful and successful one. Everyone, including Women, Military, Professional, Children, are a welcomed part of the Gracie Technics Jiu Jitsu Academy.
