Jason’s Tae Kwon Do in St. Marys, Kansas, is pleased to offer a Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) class that will help men achieve improved physical fitness as well as teach valuable striking and grappling skills. Our current knowledge in the Martial Arts XXhas allowed us to develop an effective curriculum for adults, focused on the three phases of combat: standup, takedown and ground.

This class is unlike full-contact boxing, kickboxing or today’s MMA training. Our main goal is to provide a controlled, safe, learning environment without the personal injury encountered due to full-contact training. We are focused on getting in shape in a non-competitive way, while still maintaining an intense MMA training and body weight workout.

In one week of intense training, students can expect to train using a real-world mix of styles to become effective in the three phases of combat: standup, takedown and ground. Standup: using various forms of boxing, kickboxing and Tae Kwon Do techniques to improve footwork, elbowing, kicking, kneeing and punching. Takedown: using Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, and Wrestling to improve clinching, takedowns, joint locking and striking. Ground: using Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Wrestling to improve submission holds, and maintain ground control.

This class will help men achieve improved physical fitness as well as teach valuable striking and grappling skills.
