Loading...Elite Combat Academy in Shreveport, Louisiana, is the home of Gator Pit Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and an affiliate of Living Defense Martial Arts. In addition, Elite Combat Academy offers instruction in Judo taught by David Ebarb and Mixed Martial Arts taught by Brent Mason.
Gator Pit Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is affiliated with Master Danny Dring of Living Defense Martial Arts out of Sherwood, Arkansas. Master Dring is a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Andre Pederneires of the Nova Uniao School of BJJ. B.J. Penn and Robson Moura are other notable Black Belts under Pederneires. Master Dring holds Black Belts in several other disciplines of martial arts and his resume is too extensive to cover here. Master Dring visits regularly to guide our training and curriculum.
Since there have been no Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belts in this area, our members have been forced to travel in order to receive legitimate BJJ training. Those members bring that training and knowledge to Gator Pit BJJ. In that respect, Gator Pit BJJ has benefited from other decorated BJJ Black Belts like Carlos Machado and Tim Credeur, both of whom have conducted seminars at our school.
Elite Combat Academy and Gator Pit BJJ try to foster a spirit of team work. In addition to discipline and sacrifice, it takes a team effort and team mentality to progress in any fighting sport. We welcome those who wish to part of our program.
