Crazy 88 is the best of the best for all types of martial arts, including BJJ, Mix Martial Arts and Kickboxing. I have no problem saying that for many reasons.

Where do I start?

I’ve known Master Julius Park for many years. We used to compete on the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu gi and nogi circuit back in the 90’s and early 00’s. At the time we were competing for Team Renzo Gracie in NYC. I’m sure you guessed that Master Julius Park was pretty good, winning anything and everything he entered.

I remember sometime back in 1999 he had talked about opening a martial arts academy and turning it into the best place in the world. At that time I was kind of like “yeah sure ok dude”…I mean we were just 19 year old kids. Just dreams right?

Not at all.

Funny as it may be, Both myself and Master Julius ended up moving to Maryland and began training under Master Lloyd Irvin, considered by many to be the best American Gracie Jujitsu coach right now and a highly regarded MMA trainer as well. **Master Lloyd has 10 fighters in the UFC, MMA’s biggest showcase.

One day Master Julius asked Master Lloyd Irvin if he could open a martial arts academy near Baltimore. Master Lloyd said yes.

Crazy 88 BJJ IS BORN!

Master Julius started out in a small gym teaching Gracie Jiu Jitsu. It was a gym right down the road from Elkridge, Maryland, named bodytech or something like that.

In what seems like no time that small martial arts program located in a gym had moved and turned into the Team Lloyd Irvin training standard for the Baltimore area.

Crazy 88 in a Small gym = Bigger Crazy 88 = Even bigger crazy 88 = Monster 12,000 foot MMA training facility!!!
