We are one of the only schools in Maryland that offers authentic instruction in Sensei Erik Paulson’s Combat Submission Wrestling and STX Kickboxing. In addition, we offer the most thorough Jun Fan Gung Fu – Jeet Kune Do Concepts program and Filipino Martial Arts program around. Instructor Alvin Chan has been an established fitness leader within the Columbia area since 2000. Come train in a safe environment with a well known figure you know and trust.
Maryland CSW was founded in 2004 by Khuen Khru Alvin Chan. He is an established fitness leader, Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (C.S.C.S.), and holds a bachelors degree in Kinesiological Science from the University of Maryland. He received an honorable discharge from the United States Marine Corps and has over 20 years of martial arts experience. He was a former competitors and an alternate member of the 2002 WKA US Thai Boxing Team and Bronze medalist in the US Thai Boxing Championship. Khuen Khru Alvin prides himself on successfully fostering a safe and effective training environment.
