Mass Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu was formed to offer a practical approach to training for self defense in a fun and safe environment. By combining grappling arts like Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Submission Wrestling with striking arts including Kickboxing and Boxing we create a system that encompasses all aspects of self defense.
Students have the option of training specifically in grappling, kickboxing, or vale-tudo (a combination of grappling and striking). Classes are focused at keeping students working throughout the class to get an effective workout.
Whether you are a beginner or experienced martial artist; if you are looking into martial arts for self defense, discipline, physical fitness or fun, Mass Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has something to offer you. Come down and try a class out for free! All you need is a tee shirt and shorts/sweatpants.
I’ve trained at MassBJJ for a year and a half and I’ve loved every second of it! Each instructor is attentive to the individual student’s needs, and all the guys are respectful, knowledgeable and courteous training partners. MassBJJ is more than a gym, it’s like a family, or at least a close circle of friends. Of course Pat and Nate, the blackbelt instructors and owners, are excellent teachers who are really good at providing the pointers and techniques to help you overcome plateaus in training and continue progressing at whatever pace you can handle.
