Our training facility at 6,000 squre feet, and is the largest in the Newaygo area. We currently offer over 36 classes per week, so it is easy to find a convenient class time to fit your schedule. BKA is located in the Brooks Township Building.
At Bassai Karate Academy, we teach and emphasize a series of basic life skills that challenge our students throughout not only the Martial Arts training but also their everyday lives. Our Lil Tigers (age 4-7) and Kids (age 7-12) students are taught to be respectful and polite towards their parents, siblings, teachers, and elders. They are also taught the importance of learning and doing their best in school. Our Teenage and Adult students are taught to set achievable goals and that hard work does have its rewards. Through Martial Arts they become more confident and develop an attitude of self-reliance. This increase in confidence enables them to better cope with issues of peer pressure and helps them make correct choices.
For adults, we also offer classes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Weapons and Cardio Karate. BKA is a proud member of Team Caique Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
