Lightning Kicks opened in June 2001 under the leadership and guidance of Master Amir Khillah, and has experienced an amazing period of growth and success including its designation as a Midwest High Level Training Center by USA Taekwondo. We provide comprehensive training programs in Taekwondo for all ages and skill levels including competition level training, as well as exceptional programs in Hapkido, Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), and community self-defense seminars.
No matter what program you choose, our martial arts programs provide numerous benefits, both mentally, through improved confidence, leadership skills, self-esteem and focus, and physically, through improvements in muscle tone, power, endurance and cardiovascular fitness.
Beyond the martial arts techniques, Lightning Kicks focuses on the development of individual character. Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-control, and Indomitable Spirit are the bedrock principals of our teaching program, and are expected of and become ingrained in the character of our students and instructors, whether they are in class or outside of class.
