The mission of the Fajardo-Conroy BJJ Academy is to spread Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in hopes that others can enjoy its benefits of physical fitness, camaraderie and self defense all within a family atmosphere. These are just some of the attributes Head Instructor Gerry Fajardo strives to replicate from his experience with the Renzo Gracie NYC and Codella Academy. Our instruction is not watered down. Therefore, our students have an opportunity to learn the most effective martial art exactly how it was taught to us.
Gerry Fajardo is a Black Belt under the legendary Renzo Gracie. He has been training Jiu-Jitsu for the over the past 11 years and has been teaching for the last 6 years at the Codella Academy in Staten Island. Aside from learning directly from Renzo Gracie, Gerry had the distinct pleasure of training and learning from some of Renzo’s top students such as Shawn Williams, Jamal Paterson, John Danaher, Rodrigo Gracie, Igor Gracie, and his good friend Mike Codella.
Fajardo-Conroy Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu currently meets at the Secaucus Recreation Center.
