Emphasis is placed on using technique and leverage rather than brute strength. Located in Lodi, New Jersey, our facility was recently remodeled with 1,200 square feet of mat space and serves students from Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Morris and Passaic counties. It is one of the few schools in Northern New Jersey run by a Black Belt (Karl Pravec) with direct lineage to one of the leading Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academies- Renzo Gracie Academy in NYC.
Classes are taught with emphasis on:
* Personalized attention
* Focus on flow to submissions (the most practical aspects of the martial art)
* Each student’s advancement is measured by their own progress
Head Instructor Karl Pravec is a BJJ Black Belt under legendary Renzo Gracie and John Danaher. Karl has spent 23 years studying martial arts, including over 16 years of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with Renzo and John at the world renowned Renzo Gracie Academy.
