Loading...The Karate Connection MMA has been in operation in Fredonia, New York since 1990 and is the PREMIER MARTIAL ARTS SCHOOL IN CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY. In that time owner and head instructor, Norman Yonkers has been dedicated to teaching his students the principles of “Black Belt Excellence.” He uses this as a metaphor for developing an attitude of constant achievement and personal excellence; inside his school and out.
Our school teaches a wide variety of mixed martial arts. From the Hayastan Grappling system of Judo, Russian Sambo, Jiu-Jitsu, & Muay Thai, to traditional Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Street Self-Defense, Forms/Kata, Weapons (traditional & padded), Kickboxing/Cardio, Fitness/Weight Training and Women’s Self-Defense. Whatever you are looking for we have it here!
We are also very proud to host our own NYS Grappling Championship tournament annually and to be the NYS Representative for Gokor Chivichyan and Gene Lebell’s Hayastan Grappling Tournament. Our goal is to produce a safe and fun environment, where education, anger management, fitness, and developing a positive mental outlook are the priorities. Our family atmosphere provides a valuable sense of belonging and acceptance. We believe a quality martial arts school has the responsibility to teach their students more than just self-defense in order for them to become productive, successful individuals. Our instructors and staff don’t just teach integrity and respectful behavior, they exemplify it in their own lives.
