  • Doc T says:

Best BJJ instruction in the upper midwest; adult and juniors!!

  • doc F says:

Atmosphere: professional, friendly, instructors are highly knowledgeable and great at conveying this knowledge. The gym itself is very clean and air conditioning facilitates rigorous training in the hot summer months.

From a very well run kids class to prepping for MMA events, this is without doubt the best gym around.

  • Ben says:

Great instruction, friendly people, great facility. Couldn’t ask for a better gym. Definitely a 5 star gym.

  • hobo says:

Good Bjj gym but no place for mma fighters – if you like a guy that toots his own horn a lot then you will like it here. his wife is better than him and there are a lot of cool guys there so that helps.

  • Bryn says:

LOL at hobo. A nice fake review from a jealous hater who’s probably from a competing school and is pisses because theyre now getting tooled by Fargo BJJ students with less then half there experience

No one in the area can even come close to the ability and experience of Prof. George And Sarah… its not even close

  • Bill says:

Fargo BJJ Academy has something for everyone. Thats what makes it different. It has some of the top local MMA fighters that rave about it, its competition team is without question the champions of the area… defeating everyone locally handily, and winning internationally after only existing for 2 years!

But what separates this gym from all the other local ‘MeatHead’ gyms is its atmosphere that promotes an exceptional learning environment for regular people that are just interested in self-defense, fitness, etc without all the tough guy jerk offs.

@hobo: “toot his own horn”, well if you mean intelligently market his successes and run his gym like a professional training center then yes you are correct.

Fact is Prof George and Sarah are both VERY experienced Black belts with international championships under BOTH there belts.

  • Alex says:

Professors George and Sarah run an exceptionally efficient, open and yet challenging school. They truly welcome all students of all types into their family. The training is challenging and very technique based. The variety of class options (kids, MMA, BJJ, Kickboxing, Wrestling and Fitness) provide something for everyone. The lack of a “meathead”, brand specific, MMA groupie typical atomosphere is what brought me here and what will keep me here. Unlike other gyms whose membership changes with the ebb and flow of local judicial scentencing guidelines, Fargo BJJ has studnets from all walks of life. Doctors (I have trained personally with 3 different ones), police officers, students, laborers, professional and semi-professional fighters, white and blue collar. I would highly recommend the school to anyone who is looking for fitness, self-defense, a good hobby or to get into MMA as a hobby or profession.

  • Roberto says:

Excellent training. Great opportunity for young ones to start training. Its BJJ, but also a life lesson!!!

  • Jake Dewey says:

Five star gym easy. Great Professors in George and Sara and great blue and purple belt coaches as well. A great place to learn and easily the best large group of people I have ever been around.

  • simmons says:

Fargo Bjj is the only place to go, if your even debating “shopping around” your wasting your time. you could have spent years at another gym but one day at fbjj will make you switch forever. the instruction is the best in the state for sure, and the students are dedicated, respectful, and all around good people. the only thing that could make this gym better is if YOU come.

  • Doug says:
